Sahara Group, is looking for a qualified candidate to fill the position below:        Job Title: Business Development Officer        Location: Lagos       Responsibilities    - Achievement of agreed sales volumes targets (Based on the budget)
 - Provide daily market intelligence on competitors and other suppliers concerning products pricing at various supply points/depots
 - Identify & develop a list of all active depots, to include  facilities on ground for loading, costs of using same facility's and  personnel/contact at each depot 
 - Identify & develop a list of potential Businesses/Customers/Clients with a timeline of conversion to actual customers.
 - Constantly update past & new customer details and contact list as and when applicable
 - Maintain present customers, with periodic communications to keep them updated with product availability and pricing
 - Develop and maintain beneficial relations with product suppliers (external and internal)
 - Design & maintain a customer database with approved credit  limits & also ensure all customers are covered with proper  contracts/ terms of supply & distribution before embarking on  supplies
 - Liaising constantly both with the supply & distribution/  Finance department during product sales to ensure proper processing of  required documents: Indents, Invoices & receipts for accurate  reconciliations
 - Maintaining proper & orderly documentation/filing for all commercial & industrial customers 
 - Provide daily market intelligence on competitors and other  supplies concerning product pricing (particularly Open Market Price) and  volumes at various points/depots and monitor competitor brand and sale  initiatives.
      Qualification/Experience    - A proven degree in any relevant institution and a drive to succeed.
 - Commercially & contractually astute

 - Good communication and written skills
 - Good reporting and computer skills and knowledge
